Ibiza Airport
Ibiza Airport is a Spanish Aena airport located 7.5 km from the center of the city of Ibiza. Its coordinates are 38° 52′ 22″ N, 1° 22′ 23″ E and it is located at an altitude of 6 meters above sea level. It has a runway of 2800 meters with orientation 06/24. Climatologically speaking, it is above the operating minimums in Category I, visibility above 800 m and cloud base height above 60 m, 99.96% of the time.2
Ibiza airport is characterized by the seasonality of its demand and by its eminently tourist character. It also maintains a very important regular interinsular and peninsular traffic, with trips concentrated in management or business hubs such as Barcelona airport, Madrid-Barajas and Palma de Mallorca, and with constant characteristics in their distribution throughout the year.

2 platforms for buses, with 20 buses of capacity for each platform in the arrivals area, plus a platform in the departures area with capacity for 8 buses.
Cab stand and regular bus line, which connects the airport with Sant Jordi – Ibiza – Port.

2 bars, one in the arrivals area and one in the departures area. A souvenir and sundry in porto store .

The main actions foreseen in the Ibiza Airport Master Plan consist of the construction of two new rapid exit taxiways for air operations at each of the headways; adaptation of the parallel taxiway as an emergency runway and the enlargement of the commercial and general aviation apron. Also planned is the construction of a new general aviation terminal and heliport, the expansion of the passenger terminal building and vehicle parking, and the improvement and expansion of the cargo terminal facilities.
– Enabling the taxiway as a contingency runway. – Regularization of the current runway strip. – Regularization of the contingency runway strip and displacement of obstacles (regulator chamber, VOR). – ILS cabin displacement outside RESA (runway end safety area) and replacement of non-frangible structures.

Passenger area
– Surface parking lot for rental car depot (827 spaces) – Surface parking lot for crane depot (64 spaces) – Extension of the cab stand (20 spaces) – Replacement of roads to adjacent plots – Extension of the airport access road and interior accesses.
A subway parking lot is also foreseen, in front of the airport, where the public parking lot is currently located.
Aircraft support area
– Hangar and associated parking.
Service area
– Construction of a new SEI (Fire Extinguishing Service) in the same location as the current one. – Fire test platform. – Modification of the perimeter road layout and relocation of the perimeter fence.
General aviation area
– Aircraft parking.
Supply area
– Relocation of water and butane facilities. – New fuel tank.
